Verizon attacks AT&T network with 3 more TV spots

Verizon is once again firing shots at AT&T’s 3G ads with three more TV spots. The new Verizon ads, titled “Big Red”, “Sail” and “Shadows” continue the companies’ quest to smear the AT&T 3G network.

 Two of the three ads are actually spoofs of classic commercial campaigns; “Big Red” spoofs the old Big Red gum commercials while “Shadows” spoofs the DaBeers “Diamonds are forever” commercials.

Skype has just confirmed that a version of Skype for iPhone that supports calls over 3G is coming “real soon now.” 

Skype for iPhone is currently capable of handling calls over a Wi-Fi network but this severely limits the application’s usefulness on the go. Skype’s Peter Parkes stated in a blog post this morning that a 3G-capable version of the application is on its way, which will make Skype for iPhone “totally mobile.”

Dev Team officially releases RedSn0w 0.9 for both Mac and Windows

Today, iPhone Dev-Team member MuscleNerd announced that the team’s latest jailbreak software redsn0w 0.9 is officially out of beta and is now available for both Mac and Windows.

Apple is projected to sell 36 million iPhones worldwide in 2010, but Piper Jaffray concedes that total is likely conservative for international sales, and doesn’t include the possibility of expansion to other carriers in the U.S.
