I reported this as a rumor months ago but now can report that the popular do nothing game Line Rider is officially coming to the iPhone. For those who don’t know, Line Rider has enjoyed a healthy cult following since its introduction to the web several years ago. In its original form the instructions are simple, just draw a line vertically from top left to bottom right, hit the play button and watch a little guy try to ride a sled down your line and fall off the end.
When the iPhone 3G and the App Store were released it was not long before some people began questioning whether it was still necessary to jailbreak the phone. The new firmware and App Store now allows users access to Apple’s huge library of applications but the question we ask is why would you not want to jailbreak your iPhone? (more…)
The guys at InstallerApps claim that they’ve come across a leaked early version of Installer.app 4. That’s the version of installer.app that has been in the works for the iPhone 2.0 software. It appears that the download link works, but the installation process requires SSH and command line work to install and is apparently still an early rough beta.
When we set out to do our interviews with people waiting in line for the iPhone 3G last Friday it never occurred to us that we should antagonize and belittle those dedicated iPhone fans. Well, this reporter decided to one up us (and every other sensible reporter in the nation) and got pwn’d.
Eric Spillman, you sir are a complete moron and no, we will not hire you.
This morning we hit it hard and fast. I and my trusty cameraman Thomas hit the road in a mad dash to interview as many iPhone 3G line waiters as possible. We hit AT&T stores all over North Texas and found some very interesting people. Here is some video…

This is a video that looks like it was produced by the guys at AppTap. It is supposed to show the jailbreaking of an iPhone running 2.0 firmware. Only problems (aside from the annoying music) is that the camera work seems to be intentionally distracting from what is supposed to be happening. The image is blurred right at the most important time and the camera keeps pulling away. I’d like to see a cleaned up version of this same video. If anyone knows of one please, pass the info!
One of the most humerous moments that I have experienced lately happened just the other day. I was sitting in the breakroom with a group of people and had laid my iPhone on the table while I ate. A fellow employee came strolling by, noticed my phone and struck up a conversation about it. He said he’d been looking at new phones but that he was not going to buy one yet. (more…)
if you love Sudoku and your iPhone or iPod Touch, meet your new best friend. Not currently a Sudoku fan? Well you’re about to be. Ambrosia Software has announced that they have completed their latest in a long line of iPhone game titles they are calling Mr. Sudoku. (more…)
You’ve probably already read our posts about the Canacian petition against Rogers iPhone 3G plans that has been circulated via the website Ruinediphone.com and others. So far Thousands of Canadians have expressed their outrage over the iPhone 3G plans that Rogers Wireless will offer on July 11th. Some of them are so mad that they are willing to pay the $500 Early Cancellation Fee in protest. Apparently it’s not just the vocal bloggers who feel this way about it either. (more…)
A new video teaser of upcoming iPhone game “Rolando” has been posted on YouTube and the video is pretty impressive! While the developer provided few details, the game is described as a physics-based platform/puzzler. The developer also says that it has been designed from the ground up for the iPhone.
Earlier today I tested the theory that a soda can is able create a significant enough radio interference shield to stop the annoying buzz that is emitted from your PC speakers any time the phone is around your computer. I tried several different cans and even some of my own contraptions following the same theory and found that none of them made a real difference on the amount of interference.
Flash from the past. I found this while digging for stupid iPhone stuff and got a re-chuckle out of it. They parodied the original iPhone release advert by making it appear to be a Microsoft device. Take a look.
This sweet lady rolled up to an AT&T store in Dallas last year fully expecting to buy out the entire store’s supply of iPhone’s the minute they opened their door. One major problem that she saw was of course the unwashed scourge filling the sidewalk in front of her, the hours of anxiety shown on their faces like dogs fighting over a disembodied arm of a homeless man that no one ever even noticed had not been around pilferring through the rubbish slots over the course of the last few days.
