This time the crime is being committed through a shady company out of the UK called iPhone Unlock UK (I refuse to link to their website so that they will get no help from me with their Google rankings) and a of course the ever-so-familiar scammer Jody Sanders.

Apple has “no comment” to reports of iPhone 3G problems

ABC News has finally caught up with an Apple company spokeswoman and asked her the hard questions. When asked about the hardware flaws and spotty service that have been widely reported by first time iPhone customers and long time users alike. The spokeswoman’s reply? A resounding “No comment.”

iPhone owners from around the World report errors with 2.0.1

When Apple released the iPhone and iPod touch 2.0.1 firmware on Monday, the only thing they told us was that it contained “bug fixes.” Unfortunately, we are finding out that the new firmware may have introduced even more bugs along with those fixes. ifonenation.com first warned potential upgraders about the problems on Monday with a More problems reported with iPhone firmware 2.0.1

iPhone nano Rumor Watch - in time for the holidays?

The iPhone nano rumors just will not die and maybe for good reason. The latest round of iPhone nano rumors comes from a source considered reliable throughout the world. The Daily Mail news outlet of the United Kingdom says that they recieved information on the iPhone. They say that the smaller version will be ready for the retail masses “in time for Christmas.” We reported earlier that Apple will be bringing a productRed iPhone 3G to the market just after Thanksgiving so we believe that this would be a great time for more release rumors.

Download Apple iPhone 2.0 Firmware now!

Get iPhone 2.0 firmware for your iPhone here

This is only for the iphone. Ipod touch users are still going to have to wait for a while longer. Windows users: When you load this on your phone hold the shift key when you click on the restore button to tell it to use the file that you downloaded.

Load this at your own risk! If your iPhone is currently unlocked phone, this will lock it, so if you do not want your phone locked do not load this firmware.  This will also put your phone back in ‘jail’ so if your device is jailbroken and you want it to stay that way do not load this firmware. Of course with the new firmware you can load apps through the new App Store.

iPhone 3G to be sold unlocked in Belgium

The Belgian Mobile telecoms group Mobistar SA. have announced that they will launch the iPhone 3G in Belgium on Friday but that is not the real news. The real news is that Mobistar SA. will be one of the few European countries where the the iPhone will be totally unlocked.

The new iPhone 3G is supposed to be offered in your choice of black or white and while much has been said about the black version, not much thought has been expressed over whether or not the white iPhone 3G would be available on launch day. Well the confirmation is in. The white version will be available and ready for sale on Friday morning.

Apple Expo 2008 Slated for September

The dates for this summer’s Apple Expo have been announced. The exhibition will take place September 17 through 20 and will be held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. 92 exhibitors have already signed up to attend including Nike, Mini, Epson, Microsoft and Kensington. The one glaring omission to the attendee list is of course Apple. Apple announced earlier that they were scaling back their presence at several expositions in favor of holding more intimate (less expensive) meetings held at their Cupertino campus.

Goldstriker brings Gold and Diamonds to the iPhone 3g

Liverpool England based Goldstriker has already started to work on ideas for the new iPhone 3G and have announced that they plan to release two-versions, 24ct gold & diamond edition, in mid- July.

The latest rumors out of the United Kingdom tell of plans by British carrier O2 to launch the iPhone 3G early in the morning (8:00 AM). The rumors also indicate that the carrier may unlock the iPhone 3G for use on any carrier that supports it’s protocol and for pay as you go customers.

In international iPhone news today, one analyst believes that Apple has increased their order for 3G iPhones to 15 million for 2008, well above their targeted goal of 10 million iPhones. Finally, we’ve heard that some locations (such as early reviewers) have already been seeded with the iPhone 3G in anticipation of the upcoming launch.

Over 300K iPhone 3G’s already pre-ordered in UK and Spain

Telefonica (O2 in UK) has announced that they have already received over 300,000 (pre) orders for the iPhone 3G from the UK and Spain. Using their website, Telefonica has allowed their customers to reserve the new iPhone 3G prior to it’s release on July 11th. They plan to expand their sales of the iPhone further into Spain and into the Czech Republic and twelve countries in Latin America on the release day.

Telefonica sold the original iPhone to clients in the UK and Ireland under their O2 brand.

As we all know, Apple will launch the iPhone 3G in 20 countries on July 11th. Among Reports of mandatory contract agreements at the time that the iPhone 3G is purchased, many have expressed concern about the logistics of executing such a bold and detailed plan worldwide in one day. The original iPhone launch allowed users to activate their phone and choose a rate plan from home.

So far we have been given the impression by AT&T and Apple that we will not be able to walk out of an AT&T or Apple Store with a new 3G iPhone without having first having it activated and signing a service contract. This has sparked much discussion across the web since the 3G iPhone was introduced by Steve Jobs at WWDC 2008 but it may not be entirely true.
