According to Apple there is an app for just about everything on the available for the iPhone. From thousands of games to hoards of other apps for things like tracking how much you eat or planning a trip across the country, the App Store has it all.

AT&T now announces the launch of their latest app that lets family members track other family members are at all times. The app is called the AT&T FamilyMap App and it is available now on the App Store.

The AT&T app lets you track the location of another family member on an interactive map complete with surrounding landmarks.

The user can assign a name and a photo to each family member’s tracked device and even locations like school or the library. The app also lets parents track schedules so they can rest assured their child is where he/she is supposed to be when they are supposed to be there. Other items can be tracked too. I had the family tracker service, but at a 1.5 mile radius like your screenshot shows I consider it pretty much useless. I had Sprint before I got my iPhone and they could tell me what block my kids were on.

  2. Ron Sandborn says:

Agreed. A 1.5 mile radius doesn’t really narrow it down at all.
