AT&T prompts iPhone 3G owners to update to 2.0.2

Posted August 22nd, 2008 by GenghisPhlip

ifonenation members are reporting that they received a text message from AT&T about their 3G iPhones. The message, they report, reminds users to upgrade to iPhone software 2.0.2.

“An important software update for iPhone 3G has been available on iTunes since this past Monday,” the message reads. “To get it, simply sync your iPhone 3G with iTunes and click the ‘Check for Update’ button.”

Reports say that the new update addresses some of the connection issues that have been previously documented and have even resulted in a class action lawsuit.

Did you get the message? Have you upgraded to 2.0.2?

I have done the update myself and still the same resault.. Dropped call after dropped call…. At&t raising my blood pressure rather then my reception bars!

The update did nothing for me performance-wise. Makes me wonder what all it actually installed.
