Crop images using your iPhone’s screenshot feature
Posted July 25th, 2008 by GenghisPhlipiWebnaut pointed out a cool feature of the 2.0 software that allows you to screenshots by pressing the Home and Lock buttons at the same time but did you know that there are a lot of other ways use of the feature? You can grab screenshots for an app review, capture your home screen to show off to your friends, or just grab a page in Safari to look at later. There is also another feature that Who What pointed out that allows you to crop photos right on your iPhone.
It’s easy to use too. Just zoom in on the portion of the image you want to crop and take a screenshot. You will now have a new image of the portion of the screen that you selected. It won’t be the highest quality because as you zoom in the quality of images usually decreases, but it is still a nice usable feature.

neat feature! Any idea what the file size is for a screenshot? I have an 8GB iPhone. Should I be worried about using up all of its memory with screenshots or are they so small that it does’nt matter?
