How to extend the battery life of your iPhone 3G

With many new iPhone 3G owners discovering that their shiny new device’s high-speed 3G data connection comes at a price, Battery life on the iPhone 3G isn’t quite as good as the iPhone Classic, we decided to give you a few tips to help you extend your battery life between charges by making a few simple adjustments.

Most former iPhone first gen/current iPhone 3G owners report that they have seen around a 20% after some drop in battery life and we have found the same if not worse. We found that we could extend the battery life of our devices simply by turning off 3G when we don’t need it. Some might say that this reduces the appeal of the iPhone 3G but remember, you can always turn it back on with one flick of a switch when you are ready to use it. The point here is: why have 3G running full time when you are not using it full time?
You can also turn off auto-brightness, location services, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and limit your use of GPS and keep in mind that you can turn these features back on easily should you need them.
