White iPhone will be available on Friday morning in U.S. Not in U.K.

The new iPhone 3G is supposed to be offered in your choice of black or white and while much has been said about the black version, not much thought has been expressed over whether or not the white iPhone 3G would be available on launch day. Well the confirmation is in. The white version will be available and ready for sale on Friday morning.
This confirmation so far only applies to AT&T and Apple Stores located in the United States and shipments of this 16GB version have already arrived at stores through out the U.S. No such confirmation has come in about the shipments that made their way to Canada or many other countries have companies that will be offering Cupertino’s latest wonder device.
Reports also say that the iPhone 3Gs that will be offered by o2 in the UK will not initially include the white edition. They will be selling only the black iPhone 3G on launch day.
